According to the Central Administration of Statistics (CAS), Lebanon’s annual inflation rate rose to 16.66% in August 2026, increase from 15.69% in July 2026. This slight increase in inflation reflects rising price pressures in key sectors alongside weaker consumer demand amid the economic uncertainty stemming from the renewed Israel-Hezbollah conflict. Inflation remains elevated as ongoing security concerns continue to weigh on economic activity.
