Cumulative Construction Permits Fell Yearly by 32.47% to 3,315 by July 2026
Lebanon saw a cumulative 32.47% year-on-year (YoY) decline in construction permits to 3,315 by July 2026. The decline mainly reflected delays in new projects following the February conflict, while continued Israeli strikes, higher construction material costs and elevated transport and insurance expenses kept developers cautious through July.
Moreover, construction activity decreased across most governorates except for Beirut, and Mount Lebanon, where activity rebounded.
